The 5K 380C3 20 1430 throttle potentiometer (or throttle pot) is also known as the engager or throttle switch. Faulty throttle potentiometers can lead to jerky motion while throttling, or no motion at all. This 5K (5000 ohm) throttle pot is manufactured by Clarostat (Claro Mexico) with a model number of 380C3 20 1430.

Note: We strongly recommend soldering the wiring for a proper connection. A patient mechanic with perfect eyesight might be able to thread the wires through the connector loops and crimp them securely, however we discourage this in lieu of proper soldering.
