For MSD Ignition applications. With a stock points style ignition, a ballast resistor must be placed in-line with the positive terminal of the coil. These blaster coils are supplied with a 0.8 ohm ballast resistor plus a terminal and boot to fit most applications. Mallory Melonite applications also require the ballast resistor.
