Product DescriptionMarathon Flat Free tires provide the bounce and load handling characteristics similar to an air-filled tire with the benefit of never going flat.From the ManufacturerEliminate downtime, Marathon flat free 4.80/4.00-8-Inch tire is a contractor grade wheelbarrow tire. Airless tires have the same bounce, feel, cushioning, and performance as a regular air-filled tire. They are also non-marking and will not be affected by ozone or uv rays. Tires are made of lightweight, solid polyurethane foam and are guaranteed to never go flat. Mounted on an 8-Inch steel rim with a 3-Inch centered hub and 3/4-Inch ball bearings.
The Marathon flat free tire is definitely sturdy and fits well, but I found it a bit stiff to roll on rough surfaces. The bearings are smooth, but I expected it to be easier to maneuver. Still, it does the job without any flats, so I can't complain too much!
