Michigan Motorsports Delphi LS7 Lifters, Set of 16 and 12595365 LS Guide Trays Michigan Motorsports LS7 Lifters and updated Guide Trays Used in Gen 3/4/5 LS/LT 4.8L 5.3L 5.7L 6.0L 6.2L 7.0L GM LS Applications Also known as LS7 lifters. Michigan Motorsports Lifters are a excellent replacement lifter and can be used in stock or performance applications. Very common upgrade when doing a performance cam swap. These will also work in SBC and LT1 applications that originally came with hydraulic roller lifters. New Guide trays are always recommended when changing lifters. Lifters are manufactured by Delphi. These guide trays are made by the original OEM manufacturer. Be extremely cautious of cheap flimsy reproduction guide trays being offered by others. Delphi LS7 Lifter Cleaning and Installation Procedure: - Open and inspect the lifters for any signs of damage to the lifter body or wheel. - Wash the lifter in an automotive solvent tank or with mineral spirits to help remove packing grease used during assembly. Verify the rollers spin without any binding. -Soak the lifters in fresh factory weight oil for 30 minutes before installing. -Debris entering a lifter is the main cause of failure. Clean the top end of the engine to ensure no foreign debris can enter the lifters upon startup. -Install the lifters using new quality GM lifter guide trays. Please note: Be wary of off brand guide trays as they are prone to failure. -Inspect the Rocker Arms, Pushrods ends, and Valve Tips for excessive wear. Replace as necessary. -Recommended Delphi LS7 lifter preload is between .050 and .120 . -Change oil/filter after 50 miles to remove any debris that may have been missed during assembly.
