C5 and C6 Corvettes Shifter Bushing Kit The OEM rubber bushings on the 1997-2013 Corvette manual shifter boxes often need replacement after only a few thousand miles. The symptom is excessive or sloppy shift lever movement and difficulty in up shift/down shift, excessive vibration or rattling of the shift knob. Our bushings are a tighter fit so they do a much better job of managing the vibration harmonics in the shifter assembly which results in the shifter rattle. As you have learned, it’s all about managing the harmonics between the torque tube and the shifter box, shifter assembly, and knob. GM does not sell just the bushing...you have to buy an new OEM shifter assembly, until now!
