POR-15 Flat Gray Top Coat aerosol is a direct-to-metal (DTM) paint designed to work incredibly well in all applications where there is a need to help preserve substrates susceptible to corrosion. Under exterior exposure POR-15 Top Coat has exceptional long-term sheen and color retention. POR-15 Top Coat can be applied directly to metal substrates or previously painted surfaces, with no need for a primer or undercoat, and is formulated to form a robust barrier that sheds moisture to provide long-lasting protection. POR-15 Top Coat provides excellent adhesion and when used over POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating, works to provide a permanent barrier to corrosion.
I used the POR-15 Top Coat spray on a metal bench and the results are awesome! The flat gray finish looks sleek, and I love the long-term sheen it promises. Just make sure to apply it in a well-ventilated area; it can get a bit strong!

A solid choice for DIYers
I bought this 16 oz spray for a small metal sculpture I was working on. The flat gray color turned out well, but I had some trouble with the nozzle clogging after a while. Still, the coverage was good and it adhered nicely to the metal.

Not what I expected
I was hoping for a more vibrant gray but the color was a bit dull compared to what I saw online. The application was easy, but I had to do several coats to get it to look decent. I guess it's fine for touch-ups, but not for big projects.
