Note: When choosing the correct cable length for your application, be sure to add the distance from the center of the engine to the bilge area through the rigging tube, from that point to the gunnel (usually starboard) where the cables will run to the console, the length of the gunnel or rigging tube, and the distance from the gunnel to the console where the remote control box will be located - then add two feet. This extra distance will allow for any errors in measurement and ensure sufficient bend radius for smooth, easy shifting.
I got the ABA outboard engine remote control cable for my boat, and while it functions well, it took longer than expected to arrive. The cable itself is sturdy and fits my Yamaha motor well, but the delay was a bit frustrating.

Not What I Expected
I was excited to use the ABA cable, but it didn’t work properly with my steering system. I had issues with the throttle not shifting smoothly. The color's nice, but I wish it functioned better.
