I had hopes for these struts for my 2011 Mercury Mariner, but after a few weeks, they started to struggle lifting the hatch. Installation was simple, but I really expected better performance given the reviews I read. Maybe I just got a faulty set?

Strong lift supports for my Escape
I installed these Arana struts on my 2008 Ford Escape, and they work great! The liftgate opens smoothly now, and I can feel the difference compared to the old ones. Really easy to put on too, just had to follow the directions without any fuss.

Okay but could be sturdier
I installed the Arana trunk lift supports on my 2008 Escape. They work, but I feel like they could be a bit sturdier. There's a slight wobble when I open the hatch, which worries me. Still, they were easy to install and better than the old ones.
