Sadly, the Gates 38523 tensioner didn’t work for me. It arrived with some scratches, and after a few uses, it started to squeak. I expected better quality from Gates. Unfortunately, I won’t be purchasing this again.

I have mixed feelings about the Gates 38523 tensioner. While it seems sturdy and well-made, I found the installation instructions a bit unclear. It took me longer than I expected to get it set up right. Once it's in, it works as intended, but I wish they had clearer guidance.
