The LS2 Helmets Spitfire is a modern take on the classic bobber style 3/4 open helmet. It includes an adjustable two position drop down sun shield. LS2 uses 2 outer shell sizes to allow the smallest, lightest possible helmet. The Spitfire includes a classically styled goggle strap. The hypoallergneic interior of the Spitfire is equipped with a multi-density EPS, and a fully removable, washable comfort liner, constructed from multi-density foam, which is laser cut to fit the curves of the rider. DOT approved. Meets the FMVSS 218 Standard
The glam of the gold flakes on this LS2 helmet is super cool, but it's a little heavier than I expected. I wear it for short trips, and while it’s pretty comfortable, I wouldn’t want it for all-day rides. The open face design is nice for airflow, though!

Looks Great but Poor Padding
Honestly, I loved the look of the LS2 helmet, but the padding isn’t very comfortable. After just an hour of wearing it, I started feeling sore spots. It’s a shame because it’s so stylish with those gold flakes. I might try to add some extra cushioning myself. Disappointed!

I bought the LS2 Spitfire Disco helmet in gloss black with gold flakes for my weekend rides, and it looks amazing! The design really stands out, and it fits perfectly on my head. Just a heads up, though, the face shield can fog up a bit if you’re not moving fast enough — but that’s a minor issue compared to its style!
