Maxima 100 percent Synthetic Gear Oil is an advanced lubricant specifically formulated for motorcycle shaft drive applications and transmission fluid for BMW and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Synthetic Gear Oil greatly enhances shifting on many twin cylinder motorcycles. For applications with separate clutch/transmission fluids. Also for motorcycles with hypoid gears (shaft drive). Use in place of API GL4 or GL5 gear lubes.
This Maxima gear oil does its job, but I found it a little thick for my needs. It works fine in my truck, but I've used better oils for smoother performance. Still, it's okay for the price. Just don’t expect miracles.

Not happy with my purchase
I received the Maxima gear oil but it arrived with a small leak in the bottle. Thankfully, it wasn't a huge mess, but it was disappointing. I can't comment on its performance yet since I haven't used it. Just hope it works well when I finally do!

Great lubrication for my car
I've been using Maxima 75W gear oil in my motorcycle and it's been fantastic! The hypoid synthetic formula really helps with smooth shifting. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it for the quality. Just bought my second liter!
