Permatex Muffler and Tailpipe Sealer seals holes and leaks in mufflers, tailpipes and around joints. This sealer makes new installations more secure and resists temperatures to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Permatex offers a range of products to repair cracks, leaks and holes on mufflers, tailpipes, catalytic converters and joints
I used the Permatex muffler and tailpipe sealer to patch a small hole in my exhaust, and it worked like a charm. The 3 oz. tube was just the right amount for my needs, and it dried quickly. Really saved me a trip to the mechanic!

Didn’t hold up well for me
Unfortunately, the Permatex sealer didn’t last long on my muffler. It started to peel within a few weeks. I followed the directions, so I’m not sure what went wrong. Might work for others, but not for my fix.

Okay, but had some issues
The sealer did the job on my tailpipe, but the instructions were a bit unclear. I had to figure out the drying time on my own, which was frustrating. It's decent overall, just make sure you read up beforehand!
