Many trucks and cars come equipped with Transmission Oil Coolers to maintain consistent operating temperatures for the transmission system. External Transmission Oil Coolers offer additional cooling capacity and efficiency for specific cars and trucks that have them. In addition to the Transmission Oil Coolers that are embedded into many TYC Radiators, TYC is excited to also offer externally mounted Transmission Oil Coolers.
I bought this TYC cooler for my 2005 Toyota Highlander, but it came with a dent in the fin. It still works, but it’s disappointing. I expected a better packaging to prevent damage during shipping. It cools the transmission well though, just hope it lasts!

Great fit for my Highlander
I installed this TYC external transmission oil cooler for my 2004 Toyota Highlander, and it fits perfectly. The installation process was straightforward, and the cooler seems to be of solid build quality. I’ve noticed better transmission performance since hooking it up!

Solid upgrade for transmission cooling
I replaced my old oil cooler with this TYC model for my 2006 Highlander. It was an easy swap, and I love how it keeps the transmission temps lower during towing. The quality seems sturdy, and it performs well. Would recommend it to others with similar vehicles!

This transmission oil cooler does the job for my 2003 Highlander, but I found the installation instructions a bit vague. After a few attempts, I figured it out, but clearer guidance would have been nice. It’s working well now, so I’m satisfied overall!
