TYC alternators are built brand new to meet Original Equipment (OE) specifications. The bearings, brushes, rotor, stator, rectifier, regulator are all 100 percent new to provide longer service life than remanufactured alternators. As such, there is no core charge where you have to return your old part to the store to get your money back on core charge.
I replaced my old alternator with this TYC model and I’m impressed! It’s been working well for a few weeks now with no issues. It’s a great value for a quality part that fits my 2011 Santa Fe just right.

Disappointed, did not last long
I bought this alternator for my 2006 Santa Fe, and unfortunately, it stopped working after just a few months. I was hoping for better durability. Not what I expected from TYC. Disappointed!

Solid replacement for my Hyundai
Installed this TYC alternator on my 2008 Santa Fe and it’s been running like a charm ever since. Really glad I went with this brand, as it works just like the factory one but at a better price. Easy to install, took me about an hour!

Works good but packaging was a mess
The alternator works fine after installing it in my 2010 Santa Fe. I had some issues with the packaging arriving damaged, which made me a bit worried at first. But it’s been performing well, so I guess it’s alright!

Great fit but instructions could be better
This TYC alternator fits perfectly in my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. However, the instructions weren’t very clear, which added extra time to the install. Once I figured it out, everything works well, just wish the setup was easier!
