TYC alternators are built brand new to meet Original Equipment (OE) specifications. The bearings, brushes, rotor, stator, rectifier, regulator are all 100% new to provide longer service life than remanufactured alternators. As such, there is no core charge where you have to return your old part to the store to get your money back on core charge.
I installed this TYC alternator in my 2018 Honda Civic, and it works perfectly. Was surprised at how smooth my car runs now. Installation was straightforward, and I appreciate the quality build.

Decent alternator, but delivery was slow
The alternator itself seems solid and works as expected in my 2017 Civic. However, I had to wait longer than anticipated for shipping. Still, it's doing the job, so not too bad!

Stopped working after a few months
I had high hopes for this TYC alternator, but unfortunately, it failed on me after just three months. I installed it correctly, so this was disappointing. I wouldn't trust it for long-term use.
