The Gates timing belt kit works as advertised, but the instructions could be clearer. It took me a bit longer to figure out the installation. The quality seems solid, and my 2008 Tucson is running well now, just wish the steps were easier to follow!

Disappointed with the water pump
I had high hopes for this kit, but the water pump started leaking after only a month. The timing belt itself seems fine, but I didn't expect to deal with this issue so soon. Not sure if I'd buy it again given the trouble.

Solid kit for my Hyundai Tucson
I installed the Gates PowerGrip timing belt kit on my 2006 Tucson with the 2.7L V6 and it fits like a glove. The included water pump was an added bonus and everything feels well-made. After a few weeks, my engine runs smoother and quieter, so I'm really pleased!
