Vital part required to circulate coolant around engine. Heat produced by engine combustion is absorbed by coolant which then passes through radiator to cool down before returning to engine. Water pump is situated between radiator and engine and driven by pulley through timing belt or fan belt. Water pump causes coolant to circulate. The water pump itself seems to be fine, but I struggled a bit with the installation. Some instructions would have been helpful. Once I got it in, it runs smoothly and seems to be holding up well so far.

Good Quality, Quick Shipment
This GMB water pump arrived pretty quickly and was packaged well with no damage. It reinstalled easily into my 1997 Mercury Mountaineer. So far, so good! I’ll update if I run into problems later, but I'm optimistic.
