Dipsticks feature a positive lock to keep dipstick in place and seal tight to prevent fluid leaks while sealing out moisture and debris. Steel case fill tubes have a gold finish, include a welded-on mounting tab and are fitted with a rubber grommet type seal which reduces the risk of leaks common with traditional o-ring seals. Locking dipstick tubes are required on 10. 99 and faster drag cars.
The dipstick itself is great and fits my small block transmission nicely. Just a bit frustrated with the shipping, as it took a week longer than expected to arrive. But now that I have it, it’s a solid part!

Locks Well, But Difficult to Install
I like the way this dipstick locks into place, but I found the installation instructions to be a bit unclear. It took me longer than I thought to get it set up correctly. Once it was on, though, it feels very secure.
