When replacing your factory radio with an After-market car stereo, the wire harness is a must for a quick and clean installation. It eliminates cutting your one radio plug. After connecting it, your install is simple as the wires will color-match and easily connect to the After-market stereo. In addition, because you do not have to cut your one radio plug off, the harness allows you to reinstall your factory receiver if necessary.
The wiring harness itself is good quality, and it fit my 2004 GM model fine. I was just a bit annoyed with how long it took to get here. It took almost a week longer than I expected. But it works, so that’s a plus!

Had some issues with the fit
I’m not sure if I got a defective unit, but the harness didn’t fit my 2005 model as well as I’d hoped. It took some tweaking, and one of the connections was loose. Not thrilled, but it eventually worked after some adjustments.
