Bilstein 5100 shocks utilize a monotube design, with a 46mm digressive piston, to increase road handling characteristics both on and off-road. The single tube body allows for rapid heat transfer between the shock oil to the shock body, and then dissipated further to reduce shock fade. German engineering combined with US manufacturing ensures optimum performance and longevity for upwards of 100k miles (real customer feedback!). The 5100 series is more compliant in tougher situations and off-road terrain compared to the 4600 series. Factory spec vehicles should use the 4600 series shocks as the valving is more appropriate for daily driven vehicles and pavement environments.
The Bilstein shocks are decent, really help with the handling of my F350. However, the shipping took longer than expected, which was a bummer. Once they finally arrived, installation was easy, and the lift looks great! Just wish I hadn't waited so long.

Great Upgrade for My F250!
I installed these Bilstein 5100 monotube shocks on my 2020 F250 and couldn't be happier. They fit perfectly with my 2.5" front lift and really improved the ride quality. It feels more stable when driving off-road, and the installation was straightforward. Definitely a solid choice!

Didn't meet my expectations
I had high hopes for these shocks after reading reviews, but they didn't perform as well as I thought. They do fit my 2018 F250 nicely, but I expected better ride quality with the 2" lift. They feel a bit stiff on rough roads, which is disappointing. Maybe I was expecting too much?
