Replacement shields for Biltwell Lane Splitter helmets are injection molded with highly scratch- and impact-resistant polycarbonate thermoplastic. Our latest Gen-2 shields fit all Lane Splitter models because they ship with an all-new baseplate kit. These baseplates have an improved mechanism that results in firmer detents for three open positions. Anti-fog treatment included for maximum optical clarity. To clean your shield, use mild soapy water solution and a microfiber cloth to loosen debris, then dry it with a second clean microfiber towel. Never use harsh household or petroleum-based chemicals to clean your shield, especially on the inside, as they can destroy the shields special coatings. Apply one drop of medium-strength blue thread locker to the threads of both hinge screws every time you install a shield
I recently got the Biltwell Lane Splitter Gen 2 shield in chrome mirror, and it looks fantastic on my helmet! The reflective finish is eye-catching and really elevates the style. Installation was pretty straightforward, and it fits perfectly. Definitely a cool upgrade for any biker!

Not what I expected
I was excited about the chrome mirror shield, but it came with a few scratches on the surface. The packaging could've been better to protect it during shipping. The look is nice, but I was disappointed in the quality control. I wouldn’t buy again without inspecting first.

Great clarity and style!

Good but with some glare issues
The chrome mirror shield is sleek and fits my Biltwell helmet nicely. However, I did notice a bit of glare when the sun hits it just right, which can be distracting. It’s still a solid product, just something to keep in mind if you're riding in bright conditions. Overall, I’m happy with it!
