Replacement shields for Biltwell Lane Splitter helmets are injection molded with highly scratch- and impact-resistant polycarbonate thermoplastic. Our latest Gen-2 shields fit all Lane Splitter models because they ship with an all-new baseplate kit. These baseplates have an improved mechanism that results in firmer detents for three open positions. Anti-fog treatment included for maximum optical clarity. To clean your shield, use mild soapy water solution and a microfiber cloth to loosen debris, then dry it with a second clean microfiber towel. Never use harsh household or petroleum-based chemicals to clean your shield, especially on the inside, as they can destroy the shields special coatings. Apply one drop of medium-strength blue thread locker to the threads of both hinge screws every time you install a shield
The rainbow mirror finish on this shield is awesome, and it looks great on my Biltwell helmet. However, I noticed some distortion when looking through it, especially at night. It’s still usable, but I expected a bit better clarity for the price. Just something to keep in mind!

Stylish and Functional Shield
I bought the Biltwell Lane Splitter Gen 2 shield in rainbow mirror for my motorcycle. It not only looks fantastic, but it also provides excellent visibility. I’ve been caught in the rain a couple of times, and it held up well without any fogging. Definitely a great upgrade for my helmet!

Disappointed with the Shipping
I was really looking forward to receiving my Biltwell shield, but it arrived a few days late and the packaging was a bit damaged. The shield itself looks good and fits well, but the shipping issue was frustrating. I hope they improve their delivery next time!
