Choosing Blue Ox is like having a baseplate custom-made for your vehicle. Blue Ox baseplates are easy on your suspension and even easier on the eye. They have been designed with hidden reinforcement. Blue Ox does not offer a one-size-fits-all support system, but rather a system that is shock absorbing and integrated into the individual bumper frame or unibody with the bumper design of your vehicle. Blue Oxs philosophy is to let the baseplate torsion, or flex, similar to receiver hitches allowing the baseplate to absorb the forces of towing rather than rigidly transferring the forces to the frame of the vehicle.
Really happy with the Blue Ox BX1689 base plate. It fits my GMC Terrain like a glove and makes towing so much easier. Installation was straightforward, and the build quality is top-notch. Would recommend it to friends!

Good Quality but Shipping Delay

Disappointing Experience
I was not impressed with this Blue Ox BX1689 base plate. After only a few trips, I noticed some bolts started to loosen, which was concerning. I expected better quality for the price. Wouldn't recommend it based on my experience.

This Blue Ox base plate is great for my GMC Terrain! It's sturdy and works well for towing. However, I wish the finish was a little better; it arrived with some minor scratches. Still, it functions perfectly once installed.
