Using cutting-edge technologies, Bridgestone succeeded in upgrading the BT45 tires wet performance, while maintaining the level of dry handling performance for which BT45 tires are known, to realize more stable riding on wet surfaces. Accordingly, BT46 tires can function on a variety of surfaces, whether riding in town, going on long touring trips, or driving on winding roads. Tread Pattern: Updated version of pattern used for lauded BT45 for front and rear tires. New Rear Tire Compound: Silica compound single-tread rubber used in rear tire for improved wet grip performance.
The Bridgestone Battlax BT46 rear tire performs well and provides good stability. However, I had to wait longer than expected for delivery, which was a bit frustrating. Still a solid tire for rides!

Tire arrived damaged
Unfortunately, my BT46 rear tire came with a small puncture. It was disappointing given the reputation of Bridgestone. I had to return it, which was a hassle. Hope for better quality next time!

Not what I expected
I was excited to try the BT46 for my 130/80-17, but the tire seemed to wear down faster than I hoped. It handles well, just didn't last as long as other tires I've used. Might try something else next time.
