Remove any pop-out plastic rail cap covers on the truck bed. Remove the two Phillips head screwdrivers from the anchor. Hold onto the top plastic Bull Ring Cover and guide the lower steel plate at an angle into the hole from the side of the bed. Once the lower plate is inside the stake pocket - let the plastic cover fall into place and pull up on the steel anchor ring. This will catch the lower plate onto the trucks sheet metal. Hold the steel anchor ring up while you re-insert and tighten both Phillips screws. Typical install time - Under a minute.
I bought these retractable tie-downs for my Super Duty and they seem well made. However, I feel like I could have found similar options for less. They work great, but I expected a little more for the price.

Solid anchors for my F150

Decent but installation is tricky
The Bull Ring anchors do the job well once installed, but I struggled a bit with the setup. The instructions weren’t very clear, and it took longer than expected. However, once they were in, they hold my loads tightly, so I’m satisfied overall!

Not as tough as I hoped
I was excited about these tie-downs for my F150, but it seems like they could be sturdier. I've had one of them bend a bit under pressure with heavy loads. They work for lighter items, but I wouldn't trust them with anything too heavy. Disappointed!
