I was hopeful about this starter since it was compatible with my 1987 Mercury 90, but it stopped working after just a few uses. I’m not sure if I got a faulty unit, but it’s frustrating to deal with.

Works great but took longer to arrive
The starter works well for my 1988 Mercury 90, but I did experience a delay in shipping. It arrived about a week later than expected. Still, I’m satisfied with the performance so far!

Solid replacement for my old starter
I bought this Caltric starter for my 1991 Mercury 90 HP, and it fits perfectly. It cranks the engine like a champ, and the installation was pretty straightforward. No issues so far, and it really revived my boat!

Good product, but had a minor issue
After installing the Caltric starter on my 1999 Mercury 90, it worked fine at first. However, I had to wiggle the connections a bit to get it to start consistently. Once I did that, though, it’s been running well!
