This starter is a lifesaver for my 1985 Evinrude 50HP motor. It's reliable and pretty easy to install. Finally, my boat is back on the water without too much hassle. Thanks, Caltric!

Not as expected, arrived damaged
Unfortunately, the Caltric starter arrived with a bent mounting bracket. I managed to fix it, and it works fine now, but I'm disappointed with the condition it came in. I expected better quality control.

Decent replacement, but had a hiccup
I bought this starter for my 1986 Evinrude and it fit perfectly. First try it didn't engage properly, but after a little adjustment, it's been reliable for the last month. Just be prepared to fiddle with it a bit!

The Caltric starter works with my OMC Evinrude 50HP, but the instructions weren't super clear. Took me a while to figure it out, but it does the job now. Just make sure to double-check your wiring!
