(B18A/B18B DOHC Non VTEC - 81MM Bore - MLS .030) Built for the Acura Integra... The Cometic MLS gasket is comprised of three layers of Stainless Steel. Cometic uses Stainless steel for increased strength, its ability to rebound and corrosion resistance. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a flouroelastomer rubber based material (Viton) designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. The Viton coating is heat resistant to 2500C or 4820F.The center or shim layer of the gasket is comprised of an uncoated Stainless Steel layer, which can be varied to accommodate multiple thickness requirements. The MLS gasket is ideal for both aluminum heads to cast iron blocks and aluminum heads to aluminum blocks.The composition of MLS will also withstand the shearing forces created by aluminum heads on cast iron blocks. No re-torque is necessary. By design the MLS gasket promotes an even torque load across the sealing surface allowing for measurable reduced bore distortion.
The Cometic head gaskets did the job, but I had a small leak after a few weeks. I might've messed up the installation, but I expected a bit more from a well-reviewed brand. Just make sure you torque everything right!

Great fit for my engine
I used the Cometic C4238-030 head gaskets on my 2005 Chevy and they fit like a glove. The quality seems top-notch, and I’ve noticed better sealing after installation. Definitely worth it if you're looking for durable gaskets!

Decent gaskets, but installation was tricky
These gaskets are solid once in place, but I found the installation instructions a bit confusing. It took me longer than expected to get everything lined up properly. Still, once they're in, they work great!

Gaskets arrived damaged
Unfortunately, the gaskets I received were bent and unusable. I had to return them, which was a hassle. Hopefully, the replacement will be better because I've heard great things about Cometic otherwise.
