Guide plates are a must for the high lift/spring pressure environments of todays performance engines. Each one is designed using stereo lithography design techniques for the ultimate accurate fit. COMP Cams Guide Plates are hardened and black oxide finished. They come in many different configurations to fit your specific needs. Exact stud placement and rounded contact points are two additional outstanding features.
These guide plates from Comp Cams are solid and do their job well. However, I found the installation instructions a bit unclear, which made it a bit challenging. Once I figured it out, they fit my small block Chevy like a glove. Just take your time and double-check everything!

Disappointed with the quality
I was really looking forward to these guide plates, but they arrived with some scratches on the finish. Once installed, I noticed they didn't align perfectly, which caused some issues with my pushrods. Not the quality I expected from Comp Cams.
