I installed this Detroit Axle brake kit on my 1999 Ford Explorer, and wow, what a difference! The drilled and slotted rotors really help with stopping power, especially when hauling loads. Plus, the installation was straightforward, which I appreciated as a DIYer.

Decent but had installation issues
Overall, the brake kit seems good for my 1996 Explorer but I ran into some hiccups during installation. The instructions could’ve been clearer. Once installed, they perform well, but it was a bit frustrating getting there.

Good but took a while to arrive
The brake kit works fine on my 1997 Mercury Mountaineer, but I had to wait longer than expected for delivery. Once I got it, the installation was easy and everything fit well. Just be prepared for some delivery patience!

Night and day difference!
Swapped out my old brakes with these Detroit Axle drilled and slotted rotors, and the stopping power is so much better now. I really like the performance and they look great too. This is a solid upgrade for my Ford Explorer.
