Prep body panels for painting quickly with Eastwood Epoxy Primer and Catalyst. This direct-to-metal primer can be used as a paint foundation or as a sealer to prevent rust and corrosion. Its ideal for custom-fabricated panels or parts that have been media blasted, plus you can also use it over fiberglass and body filler. The catalyst reduces drying time and increases overall hardness, getting your vehicle ready for painting sooner while also providing better long-term protection. With an easy 1:1 mix ratio, theres no guesswork when it comes to preparation.
Unfortunately, my kit arrived with a dented can which made it hard to use. The black epoxy primer worked fine, but the whole experience was a bummer. I expected better packaging for a specialty product like this.

Good coverage but tricky to apply
I found the Eastwood epoxy primer to be a bit tricky to spray evenly. It covers well, but I had issues with overspray. The black color looks nice, though, and seems durable after curing. Just watch how you apply it!

Mixed feelings on the activator
The primer itself is solid, but I had some trouble with the activator. The instructions weren't super clear, and it took me a couple of tries to get the mix right. Still, once I figured it out, the finish was nice!

Great Paint for DIY Projects
I used the Eastwood epoxy primer for my car restoration, and I'm really happy with the results. The black color is deep and looks professional. The 2-quart kit was enough to cover several parts without running out, which is a plus!
