Edelmann power steering assemblies include high pressure hose where specified by OEMs. Pressure Hose and return hose covers are highly resistant to oil, heat and ozone which cause ordinary assemblies to fail prematurely. Tube construction withstands internal oil temperatures of up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Double piles of high-tensile strength braided fabric help Edelmann pressure and cylinder line hose to withstand pulsation pressures up to 1,500 psi and bursting pressures up to 8,900 psi. Tubing is Pro-coated or terne coated and couplings and fittings are zinc-chromate plated for rust and corrosion protection. The uniform crimping process ensures a long-lasting connection and the ferrule ends are flared to prevent pinching or cutting of the hose under tight-bend conditions. Tapered crimp design relieves stress and eliminates tube fatigue. Mounting brackets are included where applicable to ensure a perfectly aligned, stable installation. If the OE utilizes a non-reusable feature, Edelmann duplicates that feature on its aftermarket product. Heat shields and convoluted sheathing designed to protect the hose are additional examples of Edelmann commitment to quality.
I replaced the old power steering pressure hose in my 2002 Honda Accord with the Edelmann 71020, and it fits perfectly! No more leaks and the steering feels smooth again. It was easy to install too, which was a bonus since I did it myself on a Saturday afternoon.

Arrived damaged and unusable
I was really looking forward to using this Edelmann hose, but it arrived with a dent and was unusable. I had to return it for a replacement, which took longer than I expected. Hopefully the next one works as it should; the design seemed solid before I saw the damage.

Decent product, some installation challenges
Got this Edelmann power steering hose for my 2005 Subaru Outback. It works great, but I struggled a bit with the installation because the instructions weren't super clear. Once I got it on, though, it solved my steering issues pretty well. Would give it a 3.5 if I could.
