Replacement stock shifter bushing use 98-7013-b lock ring to secure the bushing. This is a replacement for stock OEM shift setups. A must if you start missing or grinding gears.. Beetle Type 1: 46-79 Bus Type 2: 50-66 Ghia: 56-74
The Empi 982038B is okay, but I had some trouble figuring out how to properly set it up at first. Once I got past that, it works just fine. Just wish the instructions were clearer. It's a handy tool, just didn't knock my socks off.
