Flowmaster 71236 Exhaust Muffler Flowmaasters FlowFX series mufflers deliver a moderate performance tone for the enthusiast looking for an exhaust note that is different from the chambered muffler sound. The interior features a large 3.00-inch straight-through stainless steel perforated core, surrounded with high-temperature sound absorption materials delivering a deep traditional mellow tone. The internal flow design is reversible, so the muffler can be installed in either direction to best suit the vehicle application and offsets needed. Features include fully MIG-welded bright 409 stainless steel construction with the FlowFX logo embossed on both sides of the case. I was really looking forward to installing the Flowmaster FlowFX mufflers, but I was disappointed with the sound. It didn’t deliver the deep growl I wanted, and the color of the finish looked a bit dull in person. They work fine, just not what I was hoping for.

Good mufflers but unclear instructions
The FlowFX muffler performance is solid, but the instructions could have been clearer. I managed to get them installed, but it took longer than expected. The sound is pretty nice — definitely a moderate tone. Just wish the delivery was faster too.
