Gates Automotive XL V-Belt is a durable, long-lasting replacement V-belt designed for the most demanding engine drives. Due to thermal forces in the vehicle engine, this variable notched belt tightens on the drive as it heats up to prevent slippage, improve belt performance and reduce noise.
I was really disappointed with the Gates 9580 XL high capacity V-Belt. It started showing wear after just a few weeks and finally snapped during use. I expected better durability for the price. I’m still looking for a more reliable replacement.

Decent belt, but installation was tricky
The Gates 9580 XL V-Belt works well, but I had some trouble getting it onto the pulleys. The instructions weren't super clear, and it took a couple of tries to get it right. After that, it performs nicely, so I’m satisfied but wish the setup was easier.

Solid Performance from Gates!
I recently installed the Gates 9580 XL high capacity V-Belt in my tractor, and it’s been great. The belt feels sturdy and fits perfectly without any slipping. After a few weeks of use, I can definitely see an improvement in power transmission. Really happy with this purchase!
