I recently installed this Gates PowerGrip timing belt kit on my 1989 Ford Ranger, and it fits perfectly! The components feel solid, and my engine is running smoother than it has in years. Highly recommend for anyone with a 2.0L or 2.3L engine from that era.

Good kit but missing a piece
Overall, the Gates PowerGrip kit was fine, but mine arrived without one of the tensioners. I had to buy that separately, which was annoying. Once everything was installed, it worked great, but the missing part was a hassle.

Decent kit but tricky installation
The Gates timing belt kit works well, but the installation was a bit challenging for me. The instructions could have been clearer. Once it was on, however, my 1985 Ranger runs like a champ again! Just be prepared for a little elbow grease.
