Slightly confusing instructions, but good kit
The timing belt kit seems to be well-made, but the instructions could use some clarity. I had to look up some videos online to get the installation right. Once I figured it out, everything worked great, and my 2008 Forester is back on the road!

Not what I expected – arrived damaged
I was really looking forward to installing this kit, but it arrived with some parts damaged. The belt was frayed and I had to contact customer service for a replacement. Very disappointed, I thought Gates was more reliable than this!

Solid component kit, but arrived late
I like the Gates timing belt kit and the components seem durable. However, it took longer to get here than expected, which was frustrating. Luckily, it fits well on my 2007 Subaru Forester, and I’m pleased with the performance. Just be ready to wait!
