These assemblies are spring-loaded pulleys designed to draw tension on your vehicles serpentine belt. GM Genuine Parts are the true OE parts installed during the production of or validated by General Motors for GM vehicles. Decent tensioner but shipping took a while
The tensioner itself is great, works as expected after I installed it. However, I did have a bit of a wait because it took longer to arrive than I anticipated. If you can plan for that, it’s a solid choice for a replacement.

Failed after just a few weeks
I’m disappointed with this tensioner. It worked fine initially but then started making noise and eventually failed within a month. Not what I expected from GM parts. Now I have to deal with replacing it again.
