The Goodman TX Thermostatic Expansion Valves (TXVs) will allow your system to operate more precisely and with greater efficiency. These valves offer more control over how much liquid refrigerant enters the evaporator coil. The valves only allow a precise amount of liquid into the evaporator coil to ensure that all liquid that enters fully evaporates. This prevents too little liquid from entering the evaporator making the system run less efficiently. It also prevents too much liquid from entering the evaporator which can cause excess liquid in the suction line. Thermostatic Expansion Valves can be mounted in any position on the evaporator coil inlet and are reliable, efficient and virtually trouble-free. Select the TXV to correspond with the tonnage of your air conditioner or heat pump, as well as to match the type of refrigerant your systems uses, R22 (standard) or R410A (new alternative).
I've used the Goodman TX3N4 kit on my 3-ton system for a couple of months now, and it's been running great. The build quality feels solid and the non-bleed TXV is a fantastic feature for long-term use. Installation was also pretty smooth for me!

Not What I Expected

Good Value for A/C Kits!
I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this Goodman TXV kit. It fits my 2.5-ton unit perfectly and didn’t break the bank. The non-bleed feature is nice, although I’d say it took a bit longer to install than expected. Still, I’m happy with the purchase!
