It is plated to eliminate oxidation and guarantee contact and is designed to last several hundred uses or more (subject to type of use). | The Essential Coil Kit is designed to help safely and quickly heat and release small-diameter seized nuts and bolts and other metallic hardware from corrosion and thread lock compounds and manufactured in varying lengths. | Safer than torches - Utilizes induction heat that has a precise, localized heat and no open flame which reduces chances of catching something on fire, enhances workplace safety, and minimizes damage to the surrounding work area. | The coils are all flexible and can be bent to your desired configuration to reach hard corners or buried deep near plastics or rubber, or separated for a wider range of applications. The coils are specially coated to resist abrasion but, if insulation is breached, a new coil will need to be used. | All Induction Innovations tools and accessories are made and assembled in the USA and are manufactured with genuine OEM parts. Unfortunately, one of the coils didn't heat up properly, which made my work frustrating. I expected more from a brand like Induction Innovations. It would be great if they could improve the quality control on these kits. Hoping I can get a replacement soon!

Decent but Could Be Improved
The coils work fine but I ran into some trouble figuring out the right connections. It took a bit longer to set up than I expected. Once I got it going, it did the job, but I feel like the user manual could use more detail. Not bad overall!

This coil kit does its job well. The pre-formed coils fit perfectly into what I needed for my projects. They heat up fast, and I've had no issues with performance yet. Just be ready for some trial and error while learning to use them effectively!

Solid Coil Kit for Beginners
I bought the Induction Innovations MD99 coil kit for some automotive work, and it's been super efficient. The two 7/8 coils heat up quickly and are really effective for getting stubborn bolts loose. Just wish the instructions were a bit clearer for first-timers like me!
