XTC is a high temperature/heat resistant coating formulated specifically to protect metal surfaces operating at temperatures from 500 F to 1500 F. With proper preparation, XTC provides outstanding adhesion, film integrity, weathering, and thermal shock-resistance throughout this entire temperature range, and is not to burn off!
I was excited to use this KBS coating for my engine parts. The jet black color is nice, but unfortunately, it started chipping after a few weeks. I really liked the look, but it's not as tough as I expected for high-heat applications.

Decent coating, but tricky to apply
I found the KBS jet black coating to be pretty effective, but the application process could be better explained. It took me a couple of tries to get it right, and the coverage was a bit uneven at first. Still, it holds up well under high temperatures!

I used the KBS Coatings Xtreme Temperature Coating in jet black for my BBQ grill, and it works wonders. It can definitely handle the heat, and the finish looks sleek and professional. Just make sure to follow the drying times for the best results!
