Lokar Black Stainless Steel Housing Dipstick with Black Fittings for GM LS1 Engine features black stainless steel housing. Its slim design allows mounting inside the headers. It is for use with factory or sanderson cast manifolds. It has an E-Z read flexible inner dipstick measuring cable. It is used for an accurate measure of engine oil. It is made in the U.S.A. It has a lifetime warranty.
I really like the look of the Lokar dipstick with its black stainless steel housing. However, there were a couple of tricky moments during installation, and I wish the instructions were clearer. Once I figured it out, it works great!

Disappointed with the Quality
I was excited to install the Lokar dipstick, but unfortunately it arrived with some scratches on the surface. It looked different in person than I expected. Not what I hoped for and I might be looking for a replacement soon.

Good Quality but Took Forever to Arrive
The black fittings on the Lokar dipstick are nice, but I did have a wait much longer than expected for it to arrive. Once I finally installed it, it worked well. Just wish shipping was quicker. Still a decent product!

Solid Upgrade for My LS1
I got the Lokar XED-5008 dipstick for my GM LS1 engine, and it's been fantastic. The black stainless steel housing looks great and fits perfectly without any leaks. Definitely a solid upgrade from the stock dipstick!
