MAKE NEW FROM OLD WITH MENZERNAHEAVY CUT POLISH 1000 Scratches, sanding marks, hologram and matting effects – all of these imperfections can make a brand new car look old. The Heavy Cut Polishing Compound by Menzerna can help you buff these marks out of your car. Enjoy your daily drives with that brand new car feeling! It does not matter if you are a professional or not, detailing a car has never been this easy. Start off by washing and cleaning your car with the Menzerna Control Cleaner. Go on by buffing your car with the Heavy Cut Compound 1000 by using criss-cross motions. The milky film should be worked in until its semi-translucent. Wipe off any residue with a microfiber cloth. Follow up with our Step 2 and 3 polishes and Step 4 top coats to seal the deal. You can see the final results after 20 to 30 minutes of drying time. Combine different density foam pads for the best results possible. Glossy shine with the Menzerna polishing systemThe Menzerna polishing program is designed to make buffing and polishing your car as easy as possible. Depending on the degree of surface defects and the desired result, you start with one of our Heavy Cut products (red label), then one of our Medium Cut products (yellow label) or Finishing products (green label) or use these products in combination if necessary. Always work from heavy cut to finish. Some of our products even combine 2 or more products (400, 3in1), so you save effort and get to your destination faster. The color of the labels correspond to the color of the matching pads. This way, you will not be confused by the variety in different compounds, polishers and wax sealants.
I was excited to try the Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 1000, but the packaging was dented upon arrival. The product itself works fine, but the whole experience was a bit disappointing. Just wish they had taken more care with shipping.

Disappointing results on my car
I had high hopes for this compound based on the reviews, but it didn’t really work well for my car. It seemed to just create more scratches rather than removing them. Not sure if I did something wrong, but I’m not happy with my purchase.

Worthy investment for DIY enthusiasts
I’m no pro, but I decided to give this heavy cut compound a shot on my old truck. It really did help with the sanding marks and swirls. Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully. It does a solid job once you get used to the technique!
