Motel has used its race-proven lubricant technology to formulate the 8100 line of 100% synthetic products for street use. Motel 8100 X-clean is specifically designed with clean technology, resulting in significant oil film resistance and low emission performance for both diesel and gasoline after-treatment systems requiring ACEA C3, A3/B3 or A3/B4 standards. 8100 X-clean meets the stringent emissions and protection requirements of OEM brands like Ford, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, and VW.
Motul 8100 X-Clean is decent synthetic oil. I haven’t noticed any major improvements, but it does the job. Just wish it didn’t cost so much. Can’t complain about the quality, though!

Great engine oil for my car!
I've been using Motul 8100 X-Clean 5W40 in my Audi for a few months now and I can really tell the difference. My engine runs smoother and quieter. It's easy to pour, and the 5-liter size is perfect for my needs. Highly satisfied!

Solid performance but a bit pricey
I switched to this synthetic oil after my mechanic recommended it. It works well and keeps my engine clean, but I do think it’s a bit on the expensive side compared to other options. Still, I appreciate the quality!

Not for my car, had issues
I tried Motul 8100 X-Clean in my older model Honda, and it didn’t play well. The engine started making odd noises after a week. I switched back to my usual brand, and it was fine again. Maybe it’s just not compatible with older engines.

Packaging arrived dented, but oil is good
The oil itself seems fine, but when it arrived, the packaging was a bit dented. I was worried about leaks, but thankfully it was all good. The performance is as expected from Motul, just wish shipping was more careful!
