OTCs Engine Preluber Kit is an inexpensive alternative to risking dry engine startup. The Preluber ensures oil is present to internal engine components on the first start of a new or rebuilt engine or after major engine work is performed. It primes the oil pump and fills the oil galleries and internal engine components with clean, new oil. Connects to engine oil system at the oil pressure sensor port on a variety of domestic and import engines. Kit includes 7 different oil pressure sensor adapters. I had high hopes for the OTC 6492 preluber kit, but after a few uses, it started leaking. I like the concept, but I feel like the build quality could be improved. Just be careful with it!

The OTC 6492 preluber kit does the job well, but the instructions were a bit vague. I had to watch a video to figure it out. Once I got it working, I was happy with the performance, but I wish set-up had been smoother.
