The Performance Tool W80557 Tie Rod End/Pitman Arm Puller removes tie rod ends and pitman arm assemblies from many cars and light trucks. Opening size is 1-1/8-Inch, with a pull travel of 2-1/8-Inch. Center screw is heat treated with a 3/8-Inch drive square port to allow for 3/8-Inch drive ratchet. Yoke is made of heavy duty forged alloy steel.
I bought this puller for some DIY auto repairs. It did work, but I found it somewhat awkward to use. The leverage wasn’t quite what I expected, which made it a bit of a hassle at times. Still, it got the job done after some effort.

Solid tool for tight spots
I used the Performance Tool W80557 to replace my truck's tie rod ends, and it worked like a charm. The puller has a sturdy build that really held up under pressure. It’s a bit tricky to use in tight spaces, but it gets the job done!

Could be better with instructions

Arrived damaged, disappointing
Unfortunately, the Performance Tool W80557 arrived with a dented handle. I tried using it, but it wouldn’t grip properly. Customer service was fine, but I’m disappointed with the quality control on this one.

Great for the price
For the price, the Performance Tool W80557 is fantastic. I had to replace a pitman arm and this puller made the process so much easier. Just make sure you have the right size socket, and you should be good to go!
