Permatex Rust Treatment destroys old rust and prevents new rust in one step. Just brush or spray on and within minutes rust is replaced by a durable black polymer coating, which can be painted and serves as an excellent protective primer. Specially formulated to be used with body filler and fiberglass, this rust treatment can be used in temperatures between 50F and 90F (10C and 32C) and on surfaces which do not exceed 200F (93C). Destroys rust on all automotive applications, trucks, trailers, storage tanks pipes, valves, fences, bulkheads, overheads, decks, hatch covers (topcoat with appropriate marine paint), agricultural equipment, plows, tractors, and snow removal equipment. Not recommended for automotive exterior sheet metal repairs.
The rust treatment works as advertised, but it took longer than I expected to arrive. The 10.25 oz cans are practical, and they definitely helped with the rust on my outdoor furniture. Just wish the shipping was quicker.

Great rust treatment for my tools
I bought the Permatex rust treatment to help protect my old tools from corrosion. The aerosol can is easy to use, and it covers well with just one coat. Plus, having 12 cans means I won’t run out anytime soon!

Good coverage, but cans dented on arrival
I’m happy with how effective the Permatex rust treatment is for my car parts, but unfortunately, a few of the cans arrived dented. The product itself sprays well and dries nicely, just wish the packaging was better.

Not impressed, stopped working too soon
I had high hopes for this rust treatment, but two of the cans didn’t work at all after just a few uses. I tried to use them on some metal surfaces, and they just wouldn’t spray. Frustrating experience!
