Permatex Non-Chlorinated Brake & Parts Cleaner penetrates, dissolves and removes dirt and oil from brake systems and metal parts. Safer for aluminum and leaves no contaminant-attracting residue or chlorinated solvent run-off. Helps manage EPA halide limits. This cleaner is for use on all brake systems, C.V. joints, machinery, tools, and farm equipment.
I used the Permatex 82450 to clean my brake parts and it worked wonders. The 14.5 oz can is just the right size for home mechanics. I appreciate that it’s non-chlorinated, so I feel safer using it in my garage without the harsh fumes. Definitely buying again!

Worked like a charm!
I’ve used a lot of brake cleaners, but this non-chlorinated formula from Permatex is my favorite. It cuts through grease and grime effortlessly. I used it on my motorcycle parts, and they looked brand new afterward! I’ll keep this in my toolkit.

Disappointed, stopped working
I was really looking forward to using this cleaner, but it stopped spraying after just a couple of uses. I don’t know if I got a defective can or what, but it was frustrating. I’ll try another brand next time.

The can arrived dented
I had high hopes for this brake cleaner, but the can showed up a bit dented, which made me worry about it leaking. It still worked fine, but the shipping quality needs a little improvement. The cleaner itself is great, though!

Good, but a little pricey
This brake cleaner does the job well, but I think it could be a bit cheaper. It did clean up my parts nicely without leaving any residue, which I liked. I guess you pay for quality! Just don’t expect a miracle if your parts are super dirty.
