Ignitor Electronic Ignition Conversion Kits have proven themselves in applications ranging from race cars to tractors. It is the number one Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit to replace original mechanical points. A Pertronix Points Conversion kit allows you to run a stock distributor while improving the reliability and performance of your ignition system. The Pertronix Ignitor kits simply bolt to the distributor in place of the points assembly and provides a much more accurate trigger signal. This improves the timing accuracy and prevents points bounce at higher rpm. The electronic technology also improves the dwell control to improve the spark output of the coil resulting in a hotter spark at the spark plug. With this dependable, self-contained, maintenance free electronic ignition system youll never replace your points again.
I installed the Pertronix Ignitor on my 1952 Ford and it made a noticeable difference in starting. The 8-cylinder engine runs smoother now! Just a heads up, the instructions could be clearer if you're not a pro, but it was manageable.

Highly effective ignitor, but arrived late
The Pertronix Ignitor was a fantastic upgrade for my 1950 Ford. It really improved the ignition timing, and my engine fires up instantly now! But I was disappointed that it took a week longer to arrive than promised.

Not what I expected
I was really excited to get the Ignitor for my 1949 Ford, but it arrived damaged, and I had to send it back for a replacement. The second one works fine, but the whole process was frustrating and took too long.

Solid performance, but tricky install
This Ignitor really wakes up my 1951 Ford’s engine and gives it that extra boost. However, I had a bit of trouble with the installation — took longer than expected. Once hooked up, though, it's been great!
