The Ignitor has proven itself in applications ranging from race cars to tractors. The Ignitor replaces breaker points and troublesome factory electronic ignitions with a dependable, self contained and maintenance free electronic ignition system. The Ignitor has been called the stealth ignition because of its quick installation and nearly undetectable presence under your distributor cap. There is no black-box to clutter the engine compartment. For optimal performance, use the Ignitor with Flame-Thrower 40,000 volt coils.
I replaced the old points in my '52 Ford with this Pertronix unit and I'm really pleased. The positive ground feature suits my car perfectly. It starts faster and runs smoother now. Definitely a solid upgrade for anyone with a flathead!

Great upgrade for my classic Ford!
I installed the Pertronix Ignitor on my 1951 Ford and it’s like a new engine! Super easy to install and the 6-volt positive ground works perfectly. It has really improved the start-up and overall performance of my flathead V8. Definitely worth the investment!

Perfect for vintage engines!
I love this Ignitor! Installed in my 1953 Ford, it fit like a glove and came with everything I needed. Engine runs so much smoother now, and the positive ground set-up is a huge plus for my old flathead! Would definitely suggest this to fellow classic car enthusiasts.

Not as expected, engine still stutters
I had high hopes for the Pertronix Ignitor on my 1949 Ford, but I’m a bit disappointed. It didn’t completely solve the stuttering issue I was having, and I’m wondering if it’s really compatible with the flathead V8. I might need to look into other fixes.

Good but had a minor hiccup
The Pertronix Ignitor works well for my 1950 Ford, but the installation instructions were a bit confusing. Took me a couple of tries to get it right. Once it was set up, it made a noticeable difference in how the engine runs! Just wish the manual was clearer.
